Proposals for Amsterdam & ParisAs a further exploration into New Urbanism, students are given sites in two cities (one with a rational urban character, one more accreted), and are asked to masterplan a portion that has been erased, proposing civic, mixed-use, and residential buildings and an appropriate architectural character.
My proposal for Place Vendome, Paris (in purple) includes a church, parterre, theatre, and fountain. Dam Square in Amsterdam (in salmon) includes a museum, a river-spanning platz, a theatre, and a guild hall. |
